Sonoco Certifies 86 Bread Avenue Academy Students

Higher Education has certified its first set of 86 graduates in Banking pastry and entrepreneurship at Bread Avenue Academy. The certification ceremony, which took place on Friday t May,2024 at Bread Avenue, Wellintonin East End Freetown, marked the beginning of promising careers for these individuals as theyare now equipped to start their own businesses or start their own businesses or to enhance their professional opportunities in the culinary industry
Speaking at the certification ceremony at the certification ceremony, SONOCO Company’s General Manager, Mark Pritchard, said SONOCO remains committed to fostering talent and supporting entrepreneurship, especially among young Sierra Leoneans
He said this is just the first set of certification ceremony of students who competed the Diploma Couse in four months.
The GM assured that the Bread Avenue Academy was here to support the students with intensive programmers designed to equip them with essential banking skills and entrepreneurial Knowledge.
Mark Pritchard gave a motivational speech to
inspire the graduates to work hard and achieve their various ambitions in life with the skills and knowledge acquired.
He said SONOCO is in Sierra Leone from Guinea to establish various business entities that will help transform the lives of people and contribute to the socio-econmic development of the country
The GM thanked the teaching staff for impacting essential skills and knowledge upon the students.
He acknowledges the support of the ministry of Technical and Higher Education and the National Council of Technical and Vocational Awards that certified their academy as a recognized institution to undertake NCTVA courses
The Chief Technical and Higher Education Officer in the ministry of Technical and Higher Education, Dr. Josephus J. Brimah, congratulated the graduates and implored themto do more in a bid to achieve their ambition in life.
He was impressed with the progress made by the Bread Avenue and NCTVA to students climaxed the certification ceremony. Bread Avenue Academy was established by SONOCO Company to impact skills and knowledge on Sierra Leoneans in banking pastry and entrepreneurship
