Port Loko Council Chairman To Change Narrative Of The District

Chairman of the Port Loko District Council, Sheku Tejan Saccoh, is set to transform the Council. He made this statement during the visit of the Parliamentary Oversight Committee on Local government.
He maintained that he wants the Port Loko District Council to look very unique among other Councils across the country and not only transforming the Council but to ensure that staff enjoy their work, which will help the council to generate more revenue and be committed to their work.

He emphasized that there is a need for the renovation of the Counci, because there is leaking roof and also the paint has faded, stressing that since the office is meant for the collection of property taxe, it shoul look like one
“I and my Chief Administrator and also staff of the Council have a good working relationship which is nesserary for the Council to achieve its goal” he maintained.
He Informed MPs that the Council is working hard to ensure that the EU project is completed for the use of the people, urging the Members of Parliament to continue their regular visitation to the Council, as it will help them to be on their toes and do the right things for the country.
He concluded by thanking the MPs for leaving their busy schedules to come to the provinces to see how monies received for and on behalf of the people of the country have been used
