SLCDU Coordinator Alighted Commitments Of MCC Involvement on Energy Sector

 has alighted pertinent commitments of MCC Involvement and as well as challenges of the challenge development toward the energy sector.

She made this statement at the weekly government press briefing from the Ministry of Information and Civic Education at Miatta Conference Centre, Brookfield’s Freetown. 

She further explained about their current position as MCC following the energy sector lead Hon. Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yomkelleh in the implementation of the short term, medium and long term of the government direction.

She said one of the challenges the MCC is hoping to help  the coordination of various sectors related to their work with programs of priorities in the governance systems adding that; that coordination the MCC will partner and ensure all that is required for both short, medium and long term stimulate those priorities to deliciously utilized those resources amongst other things.

 Madam Ndeye Fatu Koroma furthered that; since the country is not having enough to provide the expected money to reach out it energy distribution across the country MCC is expected to help in that direction as they also have other areas of priorities like education, health among others that involves millions of dollars of investment.

She called on all key sector players to work hand and gloves to effect positive change and described the outlined plans of Dr. Yomkellah’s as ambitious plans.

Thinking about how they are planning to work with different partners Madam NFK alluded that; they are ready to move forward investment alongside the energy sector infrastructural development in terms of electricity. 

In terms of the short term, medium  and long terms sustainable development solution said their is need to destabilize the sector aa according to her government cannot able to provide 200 million dollars on transition  lines considering other needs priorities and encourage the private sector and other development partners  towards the electricity infrastructure long time national development. 

She said they as MCC is forced on the transition and distribution and urges empowerment to attract the private sector investment and governance reforms among other things including procurement as well as several advertisements for more resilience energy as information is power in national development.
