LRMG Commits $50,000 to Support Transform Pujehun District
In alignment with the Government’s flagship Big Five Game Changers initiative, LRMG has announced a significant commitment of $50,000 to Transform Pujehun District, a dynamic youth-led organization focused on driving sustainable development in Sierra Leone.
As part of this pledge, an initial installment of $20,000 was presented today at the Youth District Council Hall in Pujehun District. The presentation was made by Hon. Sidie Mohamed Tunis, former Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, on behalf of LRMG. The funds will be allocated to the Feed Salone agriculture project, an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing food security, empowering local farmers, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
This investment underlines LRMG’s commitment to supporting grassroots organizations that are playing pivotal roles in advancing national priorities, particularly in underserved regions. Transform Pujehun District is at the forefront of youth-driven change, leveraging innovative strategies to address key challenges in agriculture, education, and community development.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Tunis commended the leadership and vision of Transform Pujehun District and reaffirmed LRMG’s dedication to fostering long-term, inclusive development. “This contribution is part of our broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy to create tangible, lasting impacts across all 16 districts of Sierra Leone. We believe in empowering youth-led initiatives like this, which are critical to achieving sustainable progress,” he said.
The Feed Salone project aims to address pressing issues of food insecurity by providing training, resources, and infrastructure to support smallholder farmers. It also seeks to improve the livelihoods of rural communities while contributing to the nation’s overall economic resilience.
Through its CSR initiatives, LRMG has consistently demonstrated its commitment to driving positive change by partnering with communities, promoting innovation, and supporting the Government’s vision for a thriving and equitable Sierra Leone.
With this partnership, both LRMG and Transform Pujehun District are set to pave the way for a more sustainable and prosperous future for the people of Pujehun and beyond.
