The Satellite Newspaper in Freetown will today, Wednesday, 1st April 2026, unveil its own new digital website www.thesatellitenewspapersl.com to the public to increase global reach and information availability. In an exclusive interview with the Proprietor/Managing Editor of The Satellite Newspaper, Ibrahim Babatunde Sesay, he said the new website www.thesatellitenewspapersl.com will be accessible to the public with a more digitalised facilities on all digitalised social.media platforms for credibility.
He said the new digital media is designed with a high security network to meet the demands of the digital media world, noting that it is owned and managed entirely by his media institution, allowing them to decide what message, design, and content they want to get out. “We have complete control over the functionality and content of our new website. These are cost-effective ways to create a brand identity that lasts and offers direct communication with customers a tvnd users,” the proprietor informed. The Satellite Newspaper is arguably one of the highest selling local newspapers in Sierra Leone over the last six years. “With the unveiling of our new website, I believe the barriers of traditional media have come down because the media has taken a digital form,” Mr. Sesay said, adding, “Today’s world is increasingly online, and more people than ever before get their information and entertainment from digital media whether they are watching internet video or scrolling through social media posts.”
