Dr. Sengeh Guest of Honour at RSLAF End-of-Year Awards
Defence Headquarters, Cockerill Barracks, Monday, 22 December 2025. Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, on behalf of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, attended the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) End-of-Year Party and Awards Presentation Ceremony at Defence Headquarters, Cockerill Barracks, where he served as Guest of Honour.
In his remarks, Dr. Sengeh conveyed warm greetings from President Bio, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and expressed profound appreciation for the dedication and service of RSLAF personnel to the nation. He commended the Armed Forces for their vital contributions to national development, including road construction, agricultural production, and support to national food security efforts that continue to positively impact communities across Sierra Leone.
The Chief Minister noted that the leadership and vision of the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General AI Bangura, and the RSLAF High Command are driving visible transformation within the Armed Forces and the country at large. He reaffirmed the Government’s unwavering commitment to delivering results for the people, aligning RSLAF’s service with President Bio’s Big Five Game Changers, particularly Feed Salone, Human Capital Development, Youth Employment, Revamping the Public Service, and Technology and Infrastructure.
Dr. Sengeh emphasized that peace, stability, and disciplined service remain foundational to national progress and sustainable development. He concluded by wishing officers and men of the RSLAF a Merry Christmas and continued success in their mission to serve the nation.
In a brief statement, Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General AI Bangura, reaffirmed the RSLAF’s resolve to continue delivering for its personnel and for the people of Sierra Leone, underscoring the Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to national service and development.
