Dr. Ibrahim Bangura Strengthens APC with Multi-Million Leone Donations
In a bold demonstration of commitment to party unity and institutional growth, APC presumptive flagbearer Dr. Ibrahim Bangura on Thursday, 6th November 2025, made a landmark donation of Le 500 million to the All People’s Congress (APC) Northwestern Regional Executive through the party’s National Executive. The ceremony, held at the APC National Party Headquarters in Freetown, highlighted Dr. Bangura’s unwavering dedication to strengthening the party’s structures, fostering cohesion, and empowering grassroots members.
Addressing a large gathering at the APC Party Office, Dr. Bangura expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support from both the Northwestern Region and the Western Area, calling it a powerful symbol of the APC’s enduring solidarity. He emphasized that his donation fulfills a pledge to support the refurbishment of the historic Bai Bureh Hall in Port Loko a site he described as a cornerstone of APC’s political heritage and a lasting legacy of the late S.I. Koroma, whose name he proudly carries forward.
Beyond the monetary contribution, Dr. Bangura also announced significant material support for party members and initiatives, including:
300 bags of rice for the APC Young Congress,
300 bags of rice for the APC Women’s Congress,
100 bags of rice for the National Union of APC Students (NUAS), and
500 bags of cement to assist in constructing a new APC Party Office in Kambia District.
In a further boost to the party’s organizational capacity, Dr. Bangura pledged an additional Le 1 billion to the APC National Executive to strengthen preparations for the upcoming lower-level elections. He noted that these funds would enhance the party’s ability to mobilize resources, train volunteers, and ensure the successful conduct of elections across the country.
This latest wave of support follows a similar contribution last week, when Dr. Bangura donated Le 500 million to the Kono District Branch of the APC to aid the construction of the party office there
underscoring his consistent vision of empowering APC structures nationwide.
Through these strategic interventions, Dr. Bangura reinforces his commitment not only to electoral success but also to the long-term development, unity, and sustainability of the All People’s Congress.
