SLANGO Applauds Afrimoney’s Innovative Approach to Digital Solutions

The National Coordinator of the Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (SLANGO), Alice Nenneh James, expressed her appreciation for the “commitment to innovation” demonstrated by Sierra Leone’s leading mobile money platform, Afrimoney.

Her comments came during the third Afrimoney “Chop and Chat” corporate dinner for NGOs, held at the New Brookfields Hotel on Wednesday, 16th October 2024. Over fifty NGOs attended the event, which is part of Afrimoney’s ongoing campaign aimed at enhancing engagement with various customer groups. The “Chop and Chat” session provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue between NGO representatives and Afrimoney, reinforcing the company’s commitment to listening and addressing customer concerns.

Afrimoney Chief Executive Officer, Martison Obeng-Agyei, emphasized the company’s customer-centric approach, stating, “Our first commitment is to you, our customers. We are here to share what we do, listen to you, and find ways to improve our services. We are committed to strengthening this relationship.”

Africell’s Chief Executive Officer, Shadi Al Gerjawi, also shared his personal experience as an Afrimoney subscriber, highlighting the platform’s seamless transaction capabilities and the benefits it offers to users.

The Development Secretary, Peter Sam-Gbraka, noted that Afrimoney’s innovative approach aligns with the fifth pillar of the Government of Sierra Leone’s key development priorities, particularly in providing wider access to digital financial services.

The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.
