Chief Minister Pledges Support for Bunumbu Police Station Construction with 100 Bags of Cement

Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has pledged 100 bags of cement to aid in the construction of a new police station in Bunumbu, addressing the community’s long-standing appeal for better law enforcement infrastructure amid rising crime rates. The Kpeje West Chiefdom has warmly welcomed Dr. Sengeh’s contribution, hoping for further support from other government officials.

Bunumbu, a historical center of education since the 1930s, has faced challenges with inadequate police facilities despite its development as a regional hub for education, business, and agriculture.

The project gained momentum with the arrival of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ansumana Conteh, who actively engaged the community in supporting the initiative. During a community meeting, local leaders, including the Kpeje West Youth Council, pledged land for the new station.
