SLFA Boss Inspects Secretariat and Facilities
Freetown, 15 September 2025. The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming football infrastructure in the country during a high-profile inspection visit to the ongoing construction works at the SLFA Secretariat and adjacent sports facilities at Battery Street, Kingtom.

As part of the visit, the SLFA President also inspected the new changing room complex, which is set to include:
President Kamara, popularly known as BBD, toured the project site on Monday, where he engaged directly with the contractor responsible for delivering the multimillion-leone development. The contractor provided a detailed briefing on the progress achieved so far and outlined the next phases of construction.

Four modern dressing rooms for players and officials
A state-of-the-art gymnasium to enhance athlete preparation
Offices for match commissioners and referees
A medical centre to ensure player welfare
A storage facility to support logistics and equipment management
Additionally, the facility will feature a rooftop seating area designed for fans to watch matches, complemented by refreshment stalls situated at the back to improve the spectator experience.
Speaking after the tour, President Kamara emphasized that the Secretariat and its accompanying structures are more than just buildings; they represent a new era for Sierra Leonean football administration and development.
We are committed to building a modern home for football that meets international standards. This Secretariat will serve as a hub for the effective management of the game and will project Sierra Leone as a serious footballing nation on the global stage,” he assured.
The ongoing construction is part of President Kamara’s broader vision to professionalize football management in Sierra Leone and provide world-class facilities for players, officials, and fans alike. Once completed, the Secretariat is expected to stand as one of the most modern football administrative and technical centres in the subregion.
